Well met! I live in California and am considering a compliant take down 9mm model with the FRS-15 stock. However, I can not find any information anywhere for the unloaded weight of the rifle. The primary purpose of this rifle is for the range, but it is also for the VERY unlikely situation where I actually need my bug out bag due to earthquake or civil unrest. As such, weight is factoring into what rifle I purchase.
Could you please provide this information to me and may I recommend updating your website with this information?

I purchased the 45 acp marine takedown in October 2016 and have just less than 2000 rounds through it. All but 200 rounds are my hand loads. Yes I know JRC does not recommend hand loads. With that said, other than a couple stove pipes from the first mag of Federal AE it’s been flawless. I can cut the center out of the target at 50 yards. I also made a few changes by adding an EO Tech sight, Magpul grip and stock, Magpul offset iron sights, Magpul receiver end plate and QD sling swivel, ALG trigger and Kriss 26 round mags. The 26 round Kriss mags functio flawlessly.
I’m 100% happy with this carbine.
Now if JRC would offer this in an SBR version!!!!

I am thinking of getting this rifle as it seems to be perfect for my needs as it breaks down nicely into a package that is not readily recognizable as a rifle so I wouldn’t have to worry about anti-gun nosy neighbors when i would take it to the range but i am fond of using a scope and bipod combo and the screw-in does not appear to lend itself well to a bipod. do you have any ideas as to how one could attach a bipod without compromising the ease of takedown?
Unfortunately, the Takedown model isn’t designed for use with a bipod. You could purchase a separate KeyMod handguard on our website to carry in your slingpack and then assemble on site at the range. It is just a barrel nut and a couple of screws. That would give you both options – the Takedown when you need it and the mounting options when you want those. My take down tube is the knurled version and I’m going to drill two holes and mount a .500 high, four slot rail. Should be an easy add on.
My JRC is m new model that had quick release on the butt stock and CA compliant and i used winchester 115 gn ammo i dont had a chance to use higher grain of ammo coz like i said got jammed already If can somebody can help me to solve this problem i m really appreciated.

I have just received my JRC- Kryptek 9mm earlier today.
I’m now preparing to go downrange to try my JRC.
I noticed that the safety switch/lever is not as crisp
compared to my Norinco AR15, I hope this improve for the better.

Update: I have shot about 50 rounds of 124 gr ( Blazer and my reload). No issue or failure, that made me very happy. I have the Kryptek-TakeDown model and one issue I did encounter as I zero my Red Dot is that I thought I had it sight-in. But started losing it (spreading hits), turns out the hand guard started to loosen. Now I wish I had bought the fixed barrel /keymode model. Trigger is single stage a bit heavy, mushy and no reset. I also used a brass catcher from Caldwell, that one works well ( I reload). No more bending knees and back I’m no spring chicken. Also no more fighting form other brass collector. JRC should really stop using that type of grip. And nobody ever mention about the kick, I can definitely feel it (can you say gel pad). Bottom line to those who are thinking of getting a JRC, I highly suggest to stick with the fixed model were you can put iron sights flip-up and red dot as well. To JRC, pls come up with fixed model with Canadian flag version. That will keep your factory busy and I will sure get another one.
I am alittle confused on the model of takedown I got. Picked it up a month ago it said gen 3 9mm. It does not have the fluted forend. It also does not have the quick release for the buffer tube. I thought all new gen 3 models come with that.

The quick release was changed to a optional accessory for 2017 models in order for us to lower our prices significantly, but we did change to the fluted tube forend with the exception of the Marine (nickel) models.
